Haneyya pays condolences to new Sultan of Oman

A high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement led by its political chief Ismail Haneyya on Sunday offered condolences at al-Alam Palace to Oman's new ruler, Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al Sa’eid, on the passing of his cousin Sultan Qaboos.

Haneyya recalled the positions of Sultan Qaboos in support of the Palestinian people and their just national cause during different occasions and events.

The Hamas political leader also extended his Movement’s congratulations to Sultan Haitham on being named successor, wishing him the best of luck in his new duties and every success in leading the country towards more development and prosperity.

For his part, Sultan Haitham expressed his thanks for this visit, reiterating his country’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people.

Haneyya and his accompanying delegation arrived on Sunday morning in the Omani capital, Muscat, to offer condolences on the death of Sultan Qaboos.
