The Israeli army detained 13 Palestinians, including two brothers, a father and his son and a man and his wife, during raids early on Tuesday at their homes in various parts of the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

It said four people were detained in the district of Hebron in the south of the West Bank, including two brothers and a father and his son.

Five others were detained in Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank city of Nablus, including a man and his wife.

In Silwad in the Ramallah district, three people were detained.

A handicapped former prisoner, who had his leg amputated as a result of an injury from an Israeli army bullet early this century, was also detained in Jenin refugee camp in the north of the West Bank.
