The Israeli occupation navy on Tuesday morning injured a Palestinian fisherman and kidnaped another off the coast of Rafah, south of the besieged Gaza Strip.

According to SAFA news agency, Israeli gunboats chased and opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and their boats as they were fishing off the shore of Rafah.

One fisherman identified as Mohamed al-Nahhal suffered a bullet injury, while another called Hazem al-Nada was kidnaped from aboard his boat.

The Israeli occupation army recently imposed renewed fishing restrictions on Gaza, saying the measure was in response to continued attacks on Israeli border areas with inflaming balloons.
