Days of Palestine, Gaza Strip –Palestinians in the Gaza Strip cope with their life eight months after the end of the Israeli 51-day offensive. That offensive claimed the lives of more than 2,200 Palestinians and wounded more than 11,000 others. Official Palestinian figures show that 15,671 housing units across the Gaza Strip were damaged, including 2,276 that were completely destroyed. Israeli occupation has been blockading the Gaza Strip since 2007. The blockade has deprived the territory’s population of 1.9 million Palestinians of most basic needs. Despite this, Palestinians are still happy.
