Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli police harshly cracks down on demonstrations of Israeli black residents in Tel Aviv.
At least 50 people were injured in the hours-long clashes, which saw Israeli police using stun grenades and sewage water cannons against protesters.
Several protesters were also arrested and police vowed to crack down on further protests, even as some vowed to keep up the demonstration. The protest began in late Sunday afternoon as thousands of black Israeli, most of them from Ethiopian origins, blocked the Ayalon highway and other main Tel Aviv thoroughfares.
