Gaza delays 4,000 surgeries due to increased demand

UN, local and international rights groups confirmed that Israel uses lethal force against unarmed protesters in Gaza.

Ministry of health in Gaza postponed 4,000 surgeries as a result of increasing number of Palestinians being injured by Israeli attacks on unarmed protesters taking part in the Great March of Return.

In a statement, the General Director of Gaza Hospitals Abdul-Latif al-Haj said that many of the wounded in the “Great March of Return” needed complex surgeries.

Since the start of the peaceful sit-in of the Great March of Return on 30 March Israeli occupation forces have killed 41 Palestinians and wounded around 5,000 others, including 2,500 with live ammunition, most have needed urgent surgery.
